About Us

Pittsburgh Period was founded when the question “How do homeless women acquire tampons?” became the question “How can we make it easier for them?”. We soon decided menstrual hygiene products should be provided for all women and girls, wherever they may be needed.

It’s time to take the stigma off of the period and bring dignity back to the people who experience them. Pittsburgh Period aims to make these products more readily available, by providing them for free in as many local business’s bathrooms and public spaces as we can, through donations.
